Woo hoo, lots of good things happened this week

Lectures finished today! Yay! Three weeks of exams and then I will have completed 1/6 of my degree! Crazy!

It finally arrived! I pre-ordered Death Cab for Cuties brand new album Codes and Keys nearly two months ago and it arrived yesterday! And I have already listened to it four times. So good.
(I will write a review sometime in the next month)

There is something refreshing about new, unheard music.

Last night my two friends, Em and Ty and myself went to go see Birds of Tokyo live! It was really good, especially as I really only knew three of their songs but I had a blast, live music is always so much better. Midnight Youth and Avalanche City both played a set before. Avalanche City were absolutely amazing (as always really) but only played six songs.

 I got to go to Loud – which is a young adults church service, on Wednesday night. Loud only happens once a month so I always look forward to going and getting to hear a message that applies to my life and where I am in my life. Not many churches have services for young adults but I think it is really important. It is always loads of fun.

Oh and big news – I am moving out on the 13th of July! It’s all a go go! It was all confirmed on Wednesday! – I am moving into the outer city to be close to uni, which will be so good but also really strange. I am praying and hoping that I can cope with living in the city well. I truly am a small town, country girl.

The things I learn about

In BIOSCI104 today we were learning about animal mating and courtship. We watched this video and I think the lyrebird is pretty awesome! It is crazy the sounds it makes!

Humans have such an influence over nature and wildlife.

Music alters my emotions so easily, it is actually a little scary. This song is beautiful and makes me feels so happy and cheerful. It sings the truth.

Sometimes all you can do it breathe

Last week was the most stressful week of my life.

People always say that uni work is difficult. For me it’s not too bad but the stress of uni is what is difficult. In 5 days I had:
an essay due – 20%
a test – 25%
a science report due – 12%
another test – 10%
a lab due – 5%
and a tutorial – 5%
+ all my usual classes and some early starts…
+ Extra late nights trying to get things done…

It was what is known as hell week, I thought the last hell week was bad but it was just a baby one compared to last week. The issue for me is I have unreasonable  responses to stress and things I have no control over. My hair falls out, I feel dizzy and/or sick, I get headaches and just become grumpy and unreasonable.

I think I need to go to this cafe, it seems like a perfect place…
